Hello all, I have returned from the land of immediate deadlines and now have a little spare time on my hands. I will have a post ready for your reading pleasure (depending on your preferences) soon. I just wanted to take a moment to say I am back, and I will be back in the groove for the near future at least.
So, what did I miss? I know you all have posted some interesting topics and I am still catching up. I may even build a post or two off of ideas sparked by your very own pages. I will be sure to give credit where credit is due. . . . unless I forget.
Christmas is soon upon us. I was thinking of celebrating Christmanakwanzivus this year instead of the traditional holiday spread. That way I can pick and choose the best of each holiday celebration and make my own. Maybe the multiple days of presents that Chanakuh has combined with the commercialistic version of Christmas that most people who celebrate the birth of Christ participate in. That way, I can have seversl days of overly extravagant gifts instead of just one day or several days of less fantastic gifts. Maybe the airing of grievances and the traditional family and heritage celebration can be combined too. That way, you can chew out your family and then give them a good gift to smooth things over. It'll give you several days to really dig deep into the things that bug you about your friends and family, and not feel bad about it.
What do you think? What parts of the holiday celebrations would you steal for your own, and what would you kick out of your usual celebration? Christmas tree or Menorah? Turkey or Ham? Stockings or . . . . what do the other celebrations do for stockings? Santa? Christmas eve or Day? Your thoughts please. . . . .

I'm first! YEY!
You've been missed in blogland! Welcome back!
Now dazzle us with your knowledge of the male sex and solve the puzzles we all have been pulling our hair over! :)
Spiffyyyyyyyyy welcome back – missed ya like crazy! (hey thats my excuse acting all weird, and I'm sticking with it!)
Regarding the holiday - can’t we just skip everything and wake up next year? *sigh*
Skip it, and spend the day at the beach!
To All, ok, no more talking about skipping Christmas. This is the Holiday that we use to celebrate the birth of the promised Savior. We have to celebrate it! If someone you love forgot your birthday, wouldn't you be hurt? Well, same thing. That doesn't mean we have to get all commercialized and go into debt to celebrate, but you gotta give something of yourself. . . .OF YOURSELF. . . . . you just gotta. You might be someone else's Christmas angel. . . . And you can suck it up and sit through dinner with old uncle Cecil, the uncle that never gets invited, but he shows up 1/2 drunk and is just creepy and loud, and a little obnoxious. It's one day, let the old creep feel like a human for once.
Heart I am currently working on the "rating system" that will show you the categories that women score points in to be a 6, 7, an 8 or a 9, or whatever they actually rate. That way you can use it to see what really matters and where, if any where, you need to direct you attentions.
Crashie, it's good to be missed, but sucks to be gone. Being crazy is not a bad thing. It is just one thing that makes you interesting. Just avoid the dangerous forms of crazy and remain mostly harmless. Crazy makes people love us ;)
Chicky, I have gone to the beach on Christmas when I was in Hawaii, and I have to say. . . . not so much fun. I went the next year and took the fake Christmas tree and we had the whole presents in our PJ's thing on the beach and drank iced coffee and hot chocolate in front of a fire. . . . Now that was Christmas morning. The surfers all really thought it was cool.
The only way to be somewhat cool enough to drink Hot chocolate was to be out at sunrise with all the surfers. That is a whole different culture I would have missed out on if I hadn't insisted on following a Christmas tradition of openning presents under the tree. I guess I am a little crazy like Crashie, but it is an awesome Christmas memory shared with really good friends. Maybe I'll do a post about it, hmmmmmm?
Try this Christmas mood giver on for size. . . .

And yes, the hair - all for you! :)
Spiffy, check out my post from last year with photographs. It was the first time I spent part of Christmas Day at the beach, and it was a hoot!
